Street Fair - Saturday 9 November
There's something for everyone at the Fisher's Ghost Street Fair!
|All of the fun of the fair is set to return when the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost descends on Mawson Park and Queen Street for the annual Street Fair on Saturday 9 November from 10am to 2pm.|
Featuring a dedicated kids’ zone and stage entertainment, event-goers will be spoilt for choice.
The Despicable Me stage show, featuring those crazy and lovable minions of DespicableME2 – Stuart and Jorge – will keep the youngsters entertained with mischief prevailing over their delicate art of science.
Another highlight of the day will be the CSIRO Discovery Dome, which will provide a variety of interactive and fun science activities for youngsters, exploring concepts such as gravity, momentum, forces and buoyancy. Learn how to make your own slime or bubbles, or enjoy The Big Bang Show live on stage as it demonstrates the amazing properties of dry ice and liquid nitrogen.
From science to circus tricks, the Street Fair will feature Benny B’s international award-winning show with highly-skilled ladder balancing, incredible juggling, oddball stunts and unique physical comedy.
This year’s Street Fair will also include a large petting zoo, face painting, a giant slide and more than 80 stalls featuring a range of boutique gift ideas such as handmade candles, jewellery, cosmetics and homewares. Showbags will also be for sale, and there will be plenty of community information available on a wide range of services and products. A selection of international cuisine, such as a German sausage stand, Turkish gozleme and Belgium waffles, will also be available.
Plus, the Street Fair will showcase the talents of a Chilean dance group, the Macarthur Country Music Club and a host of local entertainers on the Lithgow Street stage.
We'll see you there!
